Delegate Registration

This is where you register as a delegate to participate in FOSS.IN/2009. You will be creating your registration entry and validating it via email (make sure that you whitelist mail coming from @foss.in, and check your spam folders!).

Delegates will be able to attend any and all of the five event days (Dec 1-5), attend any of the sub-events (talks, workshops, workouts, etc.), and will be provided lunch and coffee/tea. There is an optional dinner that can be paid for only if you intend to stay for the late sessions, and you will be able to purchase snacks and other refreshments at the venue throughout the day.

All delegates, irrespective of delegate type, will receive the delegate kit that provides sponsor-provided material.

No payment now

You do not have to pay for your registration at this point. We are attempting to get an online payment system into place – if that happens, we will mail you a payment link so that you can conveniently pay with your credit/debit cards and netbanking.

Registration Flow

When you register now, you are telling us that you coming to the event, which allows us to plan for your presence.

After you complete filling the form on the next page, you will be sent an email with a confirmation link – click that link to confirm your email address and receive your delegate code. This delegate code is very very important! We recommend that you download the image of the card that is shown to you, and print it out as well. It’s your key to the next step.

Hopefully, before the event, we will have a payment gateway up – we will then mail you a link that will directly allow you to pay your delegate fee online, completely bypassing any queues at the event.

Worst case situation, you will have to pay at the venue. We will try to make that as smooth a process as possible. While Regular and Student Delegates would have to pay in cash at the venue, Corporate Delegates will have the option of sending in the payment before the event through company cheques or electronic transfer.

In all cases, you will need your Delegate Code. At the venue, you will be issued a delegate card which is your pass for everything that happens at FOSS.IN – without it, you don’t eat, listen, participate, or do anything else. In short DONT LOSE YOUR PASS – you will have to buy a new one – from the outside of the venue.Our security people will be briefed to detain and evict anyone not wearing the delegate pass.

Delegate Fees

  1. Regular individual ticket: Rs.750 (US$16 or 11 Euro)
  2. Discounted Student ticket: Rs.500 (US$11 or 8 Euro, requires valid Indian Student ID before entering venue)
  3. Corporate Delegate: Rs.3,000 (US$65 or 43 Euro)

All rates applicable for people who have registered online – unregistered non-corporate walk-ins will pay Rs.1,000 flat for Regular tickets at the venue, cash only.

What you get for your Delegate Fee

All registrations cover the attendance of the the entire event on all 5 days, lunch and tea/coffee on every day, as well as any give-aways. Registration does not cover optional dinner costs, or accommodation. All included food is Indian vegetarian only.

The deliverables for the registration fee for all three are identical except:

  1. Regular and Student tickets are limited to one per purchase
  2. Corporate delegate tickets may be purchased in bulk, with discount structures for 5+ tickets
  3. Corporate delegate registrations will be acknowledged on the website as support of the event, and delegates may optionally request a certificate of attendance (not available for Regular or Student tickets). The extra amount will be used to cover the difference of subsidised student tickets, as well as other event related matters. Corporate delegates have the option of paying by COMPANY (not personal) cheques, if accompanies by a covering letter, on company letter head, signed by an authorized signatory. Registered companies only.

Speakers

Speakers for the event whose names appear on the schedule do not have to pay for delegate registration – they are our guests.

Press

Press attendees need to request press passes fr0m press [at] foss dot in latest by November 28th. Accredited press personnel only. While we recognise bloggers to be valid and important media, we unfortunately cannot issue free passes to bloggers covering the event. Sorry.

Terms & Conditions

In all cases, sales are final, non-refundable and non-transferable. Losing your ticket requires you to purchase another one, so please take care of it for all days of the event, and produce it on demand. Anyone found on the premises without a valid ticket will be asked to purchase one on the spot, or be ejected from the premises. Ticket is required to be shown for entry, delegate kit, lunch and tea/coffee.
