| Abstract | FOSSEE Team (esp. Prof. Prabhu Ramachandran) will be contacting developers of Scientific Computing packages for Python, like developers of SciPy, NumPy, Matplotlib among other things and along with them he he himself will come with small tasks for the community to complete and submit patches. For this, FOSSEE team is using an app based on Melange hosted at http://py-tasks.appspot.com/. The site is still a work in progress. But once it is up, the above mentioned developers will be submitting a list of tasks for their projects from which contributors can pick one or more, work on them and submit their work. The idea is to work collaboratively and collectively to make Scientific Python better. So we intend to run a work out based on the tasks submitted at this site. The speciality about this workout will be that, the FOSSEE team will provide the necessary help and mentorship on the spot to work on the tasks. | ||
