OpenSolaris Introduction |
| Abstract |
The aim of this talk is to give a rough welcome to OpenSolaris for the developer. Joining each open source community can be very different to each other, and this talk will map out the story from when the developer first appears on the list asking for help, to reporting bugs, to submitting code for bug fixes, to starting their own projects out on opensolaris.org. It will explain some of the existing developer processes in place that have been built up over many years of development, and detail some of the attempts to make them more transparent for the external developer. |
| Pre-requisites |
None. |
