BoF
From FOSS.IN/2007
Birds of a Feather: This idiom is a shortening of the proverb "birds of a feather flock together", meaning that people (birds) of the same kind or interest (of a common feather) enjoy spending time (flocking) together. This proverb is believed to date back as far as Greek and Roman times, but has become commonly used as jargon by various groups since the nineteenth century.
Foss.in acts as the meeting point for people with similar ideas to meet and discuss plausible future projects and direction. FOSS.IN provides BoF tents, located behind expo area C (see the map). The of tents at FOSS.IN have already lead to the creation of some high profile projects including Akonadi, the kde4 pim infrastructure.
