Today and as I am writing this, Sun Microsystems is releasing Java as Free and Open Source Software under the GPL. Simultaneously, the previously released Glassfish project now also comes under the GPL.
And FOSS.IN is one of the first events where Sun will be showcasing all this and more, in addition to a series of talks related to the projects.

Never mind that they gave one of their (I presume) valuable employees extended leave of absence to dedicate himself completely to the planning and organization of FOSS.IN, including covering all travel and other related expenses related to this activity.
