Name Danese Cooper
Organisation Open Source Initiative (employed by Intel)
Website http://danesecooper.blogs.com/divablog
Scope General
Topic Encouraging Indian contributors
Type workshop
Abstract In FOSS we often hear that "Participation is Ownership", and that means that some of us are learning to participate by speaking in public about FOSS software and its advantages. This workshop will involve use of practical techniques and advice about how to begin or improve upon your presentation skills. Develop an elevator pitch, a presentation style that is interactive and community building, and effective ways to make your point when you get up in front of that big audience.

Session will be conducted by a group of internationally known speakers on FOSS topics.
Pre-requisites An interest in learning how to better evangelize FOSS software
Profile Danese Cooper has a 15-year history in the software industry and has long been an advocate for transparent development methodologies.
