Abstract Experiences in convincing C and V level executives of Fortune 500 companies to adopt open source products; The talk will include lessons learnt, ancedotes, mistakes and pitfalls to avoid, legal issues and other talesrelated to evangelizing open source to the corporate world. The talk will also discuss methodologies and processes that were tweaked and adapted to fuse open source development with corporate IT standards

Profile CEO and founder of Secuprise, an information security company. Has been in the software industry for 13 years, and was until recently Vice President, Products and Strategy at Jataayu Software, Bangalore. At Jataayu Software, worked on emerging trends in the wireless industry and worked actively in helping define the technology and product roadmap along with the engineering and marketing teams. Prior to that, he was Chief Architect for Enterprise and Pervasive Computing at eJiva Inc. He was responsible for designing and implementing an enterprise class SB 1386 compliance solution for one of the world's largest CPG companies. Before that, served as Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer at iGate Corporation. In this role, he actively proposed and implemented open source technologies to igate's Fortune 50 customers. Apart from his experience in security, wireless, pervasive computing, personalisation and distributed computing technologies, he worked in the venture capital industry as an active member of iGate Capital's Venture Fund.
