Abstract This talk will focus on security problems faced by developers when using foss tools for web development. The talk will cover the common mistakes and ways to correct them.

Profile Kalyan has been working in the security space for more then 7 years. Since 2001 he has been working with Yahoo! where he worked as 'Paranoid Yahoo'. He was taking care of the Asia Pacific application and data security needs of Yahoo! and was also part of the Global Application Security team. He received the Global Yahoo! Super Star award for his contributions in the security space. Before joining Yahoo!, Kalyan was with Exocore, a network and linux consulting company in Bangalore, where he managed large scale server deployments and information security.
