Abstract This workshop, conducted by Aaron Seigo, Till Adam and me, will bootstrap new KDE developers, by taking them by the hand and explaining the concepts of KDE developments, the various components, and finally ending up with developing a small application.

This workshop will end in a bof that will help everyone clear their doubts, and discuss the new directions that KDE is taking, and what the opportunities are for new KDE developers.

Pre-requisites C++ and general programming skills skills. A lot of patience, and of course the willingness to learn.

Profile Sirtaj is one of the earliest members of the KDE development team and is the author of a number of KDE applications and library bits.

Sirtaj is CTO at Sapphire Mobile Systems, a 100% Linux-powered company.
