How GIS can be implemented?How mapserver can be used for creating maps? and How mapscript can be used to create front end for mapserver and required functionalities ? Explained with a working example of ongoing project 'GIS mapping for tsunami rehabilitation work for NGOs'.
A generic GIS API - that can talk to any geo data and create map to answer the need, the need being who is working where and what they are doing which can be extended according to the individual need.
Future - Global geo database, integration of geodata from various fields of work.

Pre-requisites database concepts, basic coding concepts and GIS concepts will be handy

Profile raj is working on FLOSS project, Information Retrieval system under SARAI.
He is curently working on GIS project, GIS mapping for tsunami rehabilitation work for NGOs.building on that will be creating a more generic GIS API.
