| Abstract |
This talk will introduce the audience to the Kolab 2 groupware server, an enterprise level solution completely built with Free Software components. With a powerful client available for it as part of KDE, plugins for MS Outlook and a web client, it caters to the needs of small office or home users as well as large corporate installations. Focus areas will be the technologies Kolab employs as well as the strategical aspects of groupware for Free Software adoption in the enterprise. |
| Pre-requisites |
Basic familiarity with the concepts of groupware, such as shared calendars, shared addressbooks, etc is helpful. Network administrators and IT decision makers as well as users interested in collaboration technology should be able to benefit from the talk. |
